Couples Therapy
Rebuild the connection you're looking for
Every relationship goes through seasons where things feel harder than they used to—communication breaks down, old arguments that keep resurfacing, an experience of disconnect. You may be wondering whether you can find your way back to each other, or whether the patterns you're stuck in can actually change.
Couples therapy isn't just for relationships in crisis. It's for any relationship ready to be understood more deeply.
What couples therapy looks like
We often start by gaining clarity on your relationship patterns—the cycles you fall into, the moments disconnection creeps in, and what's really being asked for underneath the surface of conflict. I draw on research-backed relationship concepts and tools developed by Drs. John and Julie Gottman, looking closely at things like how you and your partner handle conflict, how well you know each other's inner worlds, and how you respond to each other's bids for connection—the small, everyday moments of reaching out that either build trust or quietly erode it.
From there, we work on practical tools for repairing conflict, rebuilding friendship and intimacy, and creating shared meaning, while also making space for each partner's individual history and attachment style, since what we each bring into a relationship shapes how we show up in it.
Who I work with
I work with couples navigating:
Communication breakdowns and recurring, unresolved conflict
Feeling disconnected or more like roommates than partners
Rebuilding trust after a rupture or betrayal
Major life transitions (a move, a new baby, career change, loss)
Differences in how each partner processes emotion or conflict
Premarital counseling and relationship check-ins
Supporting one partner's individual mental health struggles as a couple
My approach
My work incorporates concepts and tools from John and Julie Gottman's decades of research on what makes relationships succeed or fail. I also draw on psychodynamic and attachment-informed therapy alongside this framework, so we're addressing both the practical tools and the deeper, older patterns that shape how each of you loves and fights. Similar to my work with individuals, my approach with couple’s is case to case dependent. There is no one-size-fits-all for therapy. Every couple lives and loves differently and my treatment approach is tailored to meet each couple’s individual needs.
My training
I'm a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT #MFT99953) based in West Los Angeles, with training on Gottman relationship research and tools, EMDR, Internal Family Systems–informed work, and psychodynamic therapy.
